When we work with a client we typically run through 3 major steps before we get their services to stage that you could consider “maintenance mode”.

  1. Correct historical errors and bring their accounts up to date so that their financials are an accurate representation of their business.
  2. Review and enhance their processes, systems and procedures to help make them as effective and efficient as possible.
  3. Provide them with the right reporting suite for their business, industry and opportunities/challenges so we can effectively analyze their numbers and provide them with the advice they need to be able to maximize their profitability.

Client Acquisition

You’re a skilled accounting professional and you know it, otherwise you wouldn’t have been given access to this portal. However, if we’re honest with each other, your sales ability isn’t your strongest asset and that is totally fine!

At EzyAccounts, we expect our franchisees to be skilled and confident accounting professionals, not expert sales people. That’s why when you join we guarantee to introduce you to a minimum of $100,000 worth of qualified, potential new clients. This means we will help you get up and running and established and all you have to focus on is servicing the clients well enough to keep them happy and generate referrals to grow from there.

We have our own team of business development and digital marketing professionals who are dedicated to bringing in clients for you to service. We have consistently brought in millions of dollars a year worth of brand new clients for our franchisees to service. We spend a fortune on marketing to generate the leads and on business development executives to speak with the clients, prepare the proposals and close the deals for you.

The only role you have to play in acquiring the clients we introduce you to is to attend the initial consultation. You’ll be thoroughly trained during your induction and coached prior to every meeting to ensure that you can confidently follow the meeting procedure that we have been refining for years. During the meeting you have a very simple objective, which is to give the client confidence that you know what you’re doing and that you can communicate effectively with them. We achieve this by:

  • Reviewing their accounting systems to confirm the proposal is correct
  • Going through the meeting questionnaire we provide for you to ensure you gather all the right information
  • Explain the components of the proposal in more detail, also using the brochures and other materials we provide to you

Of course, once we’ve given you clients we expect that you do your best to service them to a high standard, maintain a good relationship and look for opportunities to generate referrals so that our brand is effectively represented and taken care of.

Client Services Support

To help make sure that you’re able to deliver the best services possible to your clients, we provide you with the best tools and the support necessary to ensure your clients receive tremendous value from the services you deliver. Please watch the video demonstrating the typical workflow we follow to create powerful financial reporting suites for a client.

The benchmarking reports are actually prepared for you, ready to deliver this to the client. We work closely with you on the final stage of preparing the report to ensure it is well customized to the client and ensure we pass on as much of our knowledge on the industry to you as possible, for you to in turn use to enhance your services to the client. For the same reasons, we also help as needed in the creation of your clients’ reporting suites. Once this is done, we coach you on how to present the information to the client in a way that will allow them get maximum return from our services and allow you to increase billing with the client through additional value added services.

There are no additional charges for the software, tools or support hours we provide to you. We cover the cost of all of this for you and much more! You just contribute 15% of monthly revenue for the management fee and that’s it.

Strategic Alliances and Partnerships

Being a national network of professionals gives us tremendous credibility and influence when establishing business relationships. These relationships with other organizations or strategic alliances as they’re often referred to are brokered at a national level on behalf of the group. Each relationship has been carefully selected and maintained to ensure that it will add real value to both your business, as the franchisee, and your clients businesses.

Some of the alliances we already have in place include:

  • Small business finance
    • Clients will get free evaluations of their loans and may then be provided with cheaper finance options;
    • Clients get quicker and simpler access to small finance;
    • You’ll receive commissions for facilitating cheaper loans for your clients.
  • Professional advice outside the scope of accounting
    • Currently clients can access contract templates, HR procedures and HR legal advice at an affordable cost
    • Alliances with a number of other service verticals are being evaluated
  • Industry and function specific software
    • Clients will have the tools to run their businesses more efficiently and profitably;
    • You’ll have the opportunity to increase your billing through, implementation, training new staff and maintenance of new systems.

Client Relationship Management

Maintaining good relationships with clients is very important in order for you to retain them and generate referrals. Don’t worry though, if you know how to have a friend, then you’ll have no problem in managing your client relationships. We do anyway provide you with great training based on dos and don’ts that we’ve developed over the years to help ensure we’ve always kept exceptional relationships with clients.

Further to this we coach you during induction and once your on board so you know exactly how to go about generating referrals from clients in a way that is easy, low effort and ensures you feel comfortable doing it. The trick is to offer something of value to your clients’ contacts. That way you are offering to give something to someone rather than asking for something from them. Training and Mentoring

Induction Training, Certifications and Your Agent Status

After commencing you’ll receive approximately 1 month of training to help ensure you well equipped for business success. To start, you’ll receive 3 days one-on-one coaching with our executive team in Brisbane. The remaining time will be completed upon your return home, in a mostly online and self-paced environment.

Once you’ve successfully completed the induction training you will be:

  • A certified advisor on Xero, Reckon and Quickbooks Online. Confident in using MYOB.
  • Confident implementing our management reporting tools with clients
  • Prepared to take the BAS exam, if required. Ready to apply for registration as a BAS agent subject to accumulating the minimum experience.
  • Versed in all our internal business systems and operational procedures
  • Totally prepared to meet and commence working with your first client

A willingness to learn and be coached– learning and developing yourself in business is crucial in order for you to be successful.  We don’t have all of the answers, but we have learned an awful lot over the years. If you embrace your training and implement our coaching then it will make it, comparatively very easy to be successful. However you are the only one that can ensure you that you’re taking full advantage of this.
  4. You must be proactive and confident in communicating with clients – our clients don’t engage us just so we can follow instructions. They need us to give them information, advice and take action in areas where they aren’t skilled enough to do it for themselves.
  5. You need to be able to fund the start-up – business start-ups are expensive. It’s not just the intiail franchise investment of $35,000, but you need to have enough cash reserves or have an alternative source of income that will allow you to fund your personal life in the early days whilst we work together to get your business established.

Franchisee Application Process

Step by step guide to the recruitment process (steps 1 and 2 will already have been completed)

  1. Lodge an enquiry.
  2. An initial phone discussion with a Director to determine mutual suitability.
  3. Review the content on this page to determine if this is the right time for you to proceed with the due diligence stages.
  4. Fill out the application form below to request permission to commence due diligence.
  5. The Director you originally spoke with will then review your application. Upon a successful review you will be provided with full disclosure documents, access to franchise agreements, business modelling templates and more.
  6. Discussion will be held to answer any questions you might have and ensure that you fully understand the business model and agreements.
  7. You’ll be required to provide copies of your accounting accreditations or alternatively complete an online skills test. You’ll also be required to complete an online personality evaluation.
  8. You’ll be invited to speak with an existing franchisee to answer any questions you may have and to ensure that you’ll be happy in the day-to-day operations of the business.
  9. Once you reach this stage of the application, you’re confident that the opportunity is the one that you’re looking for and we are confident that you’ll be a successful franchisee, you’ll be invited to join the group. Your signature ready franchise agreement will be released to you, the initial investment will be made and you’ll be our newest member of the group. Congratulations!!!
  10. Transport and accommodation for your induction training at our head office in Brisbane will be organized and the online, self-paced training materials will be released to you.
